Important COVID-19 Customer Notice
Due to updated Government guidance, it’s now mandatory for all Sales, After Sales and Parts customers to wear a face covering, while at our Toyota Centre.
Under the new guidelines for shops and supermarkets, issued by the government on 17th July, face coverings must be worn by all customers. As dealerships fall within the ‘shops’ category, it is therefore mandatory for all customers to wear a face covering while visiting our business. This ruling applies to customers only and does not include our employees.
Please ensure you have a face mask or face covering in place prior to entering our business. If you do not have one, please ask us for a complimentary mask – although please be aware that we have a limited supply.
Under the new rules, people who do not wear a face covering will face a fine of up to £100, in line with the sanction on public transport and just as with public transport, children under 11 and those with certain disabilities will be exempt.
The liability for wearing a face covering lies with the individual. Should an individual without an exemption refuse to wear a face covering, a shop can refuse them entry and can call the police if people refuse to comply, the police have the formal enforcement powers and can issue a fine.
We thank you sincerely for your co-operation and understanding, and look forward to welcoming you to our Toyota Centre.
If you need to contact us in urgent situations, please call 01782 599111 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
New and used car sales
In line with government advice, all Toyota new and used car sales facilities are fully open with social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures in place.
To protect customers and staff, we will be managing the number of people at each dealership and adapting our usual processes. To help us with these measures, we prefer for appointments to be made where possible. We have videos on our YouTube and social media accounts to show the social distancing changes in our showroom that you can expect to see; we have since also made a video to show masks being worn in the showroom, which is featured on this page. You’ll find various clear signage, a one way system, complimentary sanitiser and PPE and protective screens. Test drives can be taken without a sales person present, and all cars are sanitised before and after every test drive. When a used car is purchased, we use a professional deep cleaning system to ensure the car interior is free of any viruses, pollen or bad odours, and we are able to deliver cars to your home.
