Customers Now Required to Wear Face Coverings

Important COVID-19 Customer Notice

From Friday 24 July 2020, it will be mandatory for all Sales, After Sales and Parts customers to wear a face covering, while at our Toyota Centre.

Under the new guidelines for shops and supermarkets, issued by the government on 17th July, face coverings must be worn by all customers. As dealerships fall within the ‘shops’ category, it is therefore mandatory for all customers to wear a face covering while visiting our business. This ruling applies to customers only and does not include our employees.

Please ensure you have a face mask or face covering in place prior to entering our business. If you do not have one, please ask us for a complimentary mask – although please be aware that we have a limited supply.

Under the new rules, people who do not wear a face covering will face a fine of up to £100, in line with the sanction on public transport and just as with public transport, children under 11 and those with certain disabilities will be exempt.

The liability for wearing a face covering lies with the individual. Should an individual without an exemption refuse to wear a face covering, a shop can refuse them entry and can call the police if people refuse to comply, the police have the formal enforcement powers and can issue a fine.

We thank you sincerely for your co-operation and understanding, and look forward to welcoming you to our Toyota Centre. If you are interested in the purchase of a vehicle and would prefer to have a Video Consultation as an alternative to visiting the showroom, please let us know, and we will arrange this for you. Vehicle purchases can be completed entirely from your home, and when your car is ready, it will be delivered safely to you.
